It was a pleasure to have our Director Prof Paul Kamau and Paschalin Basil a Project Coordinator attending the “Generalizing democracy: a horizon for reimagining economic models for a substantive democracy in Africa” conference in Dakar, Senegal.

The Institute for Development Studies was pleased to have Paschalin Basil as one of the speakers in the  "Sustainable Financing for Development in the Majority World" Conference held at the American University in Cairo. Speaking before 200 attendees, Basil contributed in depth on Sustainable financing in the non-profit sector to create dignified and fulfilling work and opportunities for young people in Africa.

The Institute for Development Studies, University of Nairobi was pleased to host International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam at the University of Nairobi Graduate Library Boardroom with the discussion centering on “Social Protection in an Era of Converging Crises.”
