Online/Blended Learning

Online/Blended Learning

IDS teaching programmes adopt blended learning through the use of face-to-face and online learning modes. The face-to-face learning takes place within the classroom setting at the Main Campus. The online classes are conducted over video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet. Click here to see IDS lecturers' and students experience on online teaching and examinations.

The institute is also working with African Leadership Centre (ALC), King’s College London to develop transferrable and scale-able Masters-level Global Leadership Modules through online and blended learning. Other partners in the project include Centre for African Studies, Peking University; University of Nairobi; Department of Political Science, University of Pretoria; Department of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Buea; Department of History and International Studies, University of Jos; Department of International Relations, Obafemi Awolowo University; Debre Berhan University; Institute of African Studies, University of Legon. All partners are from countries that are part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Once the project is completed, students from across partner institutions will meet and exchange ideas in relation to leadership, peace and development issues in their own contexts.
