The Carnegie Project Methodology Workshop

The Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nairobi, and three other collaborating institutions were awarded a two-year grant (2020-2022) by Carnegie Corporation of New York titled 'Decentralisation, inclusive citizenship, and the governing elites in Africa and the Arab Region.' The Project supports research and publications, including policy briefs, reports, and articles, as well as graduate student fellowships and workshops.

The project’s implementation sites are four countries: Morocco, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, and Kenya.

On the 19th, 20th and 21st of May 2021, IDS convened the project’s methodology workshop. The workshop was convened virtually, and attended by the following participants:

The workshop allowed all the project partners to reflect on the project purpose; approaches and key outputs and deliverables; agree on timelines, budgets, and reporting and discuss the Carnegie’s administrative requirements/restrictions.
