The release of Old Problems and New Realities in Africa – and the role of Development Cooperation Report

The global development landscape has undergone important transformation as countries and development actors have had to deal with new layers of challenges in addition to ‘old problems’. In addition to global shocks like Covid-19 pandemic and war in Ukraine, there has been a series of long-brewing crises which also pose grave challenges to global stability and prosperity.

The purpose of this report is to highlight and explore a selection of the most pressing development challenges affecting African countries and for the contributors to discuss possible solutions and implications for development cooperation.
