The theme of the lecture was “60 Years of Bilateral Relations: Norway & Kenya, Multilateralists and Partners for Peace and Security in a Divided World”

Present were H.E. Mr Espen Barth Eide, Norway's Foreign Minister, Prof Patrick Verkooijen​ The Chancellor UoN, Prof Stephen Kiama Vice Chancellor UoN, Ambassador Monica Juma EGH National Security Advisor, Republic of Kenya, Prof Karuti Kanyinga, Director Institute for Development Studies-UoN, heads of departments and students.

The public lecture and panel discussion touched on the bilateral relations between the two countries, climate change and humanitarianism. It also included the question of opportunities for cooperation as well as what will shape present and future Norway-Kenya relations.
