The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) was pleased to host the “SACCOs in Kenya: Clientelism and Reciprocity” seminar at the Mahatma Gandhi Research Graduate Library Boardroom, University of Nairobi. The speakers, Prof Justin Willis from Durham University / British Institute in Eastern Africa and Dr Radha Upadhyaya from the Institute for Development Studies-UoN, presented the history of SACCOs in Kenya, their growth and their challenges.

IDS continues to foster collaborations with institutions with similar objectives, providing facilities that enhance intellectual exchange and collaboration among scholars.
