Rights and Resilience in Kenya (RARE)

IDS Role:

To implement the research project in Kenya and supervise four PhD students in the various thematic areas (Work Packages).

Project Description:

RARE is a research project that investigates the relationship between resilience and land rights in the context of pastoral and agro-pastoral climate change adaptation in Kenya. The objective of the project is to ensure secure and peaceful access to land for climate change adaptation and thereby the resilience of all Kenyan citizens.
