The East African Citizen Summit 2025 will convene 400+ representatives from the 8 EAC member states, fostering dialogue and collaboration under the theme "Harnessing EAC's Citizens' Potential in the Regional Integration Process."

In the East African region, the curtailment of freedoms—association, assembly, and expression—has become a common phenomenon, severely affecting the operational space for CSOs.

Douglas will be driving the panel discussion on Climate Change and Agriculture: Agribusiness as the Backbone of East African Community, and using evidence from data collected by Afrobarometer and from researchers at the Institute for Development Studies-UON.
