The key focus areas included:  Innovation, sustainable mobility, governance reforms, inclusive design, financing, safety, and climate readiness across Kenya’s transport systems.
The main objective of the summit was to explore new financing models for the matatu sector to address the existing financial gaps in the industry and build a strong foundation for sustainable public transportation in Nairobi.
Azeb’s presentation indicated that men and women have different travel patterns and women face more challenges and limitations when it comes to public transport.
