The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) was privileged to host students from the American University-Washington DC on a visit to Kenya. Dr Angela Pashayan from American University - Washington DC led the discussion on Community-led Development.

The discussion held on Tuesday, May 14 2024, was about ideas and best practices that help or hinder community-led development. The knowledge exchange discussion enabled the students to share ideas and learn more about the US and Kenyan perspectives on Community-led Development. The lively discussion saw students participate in a survey and share their views on what hinders or enables community-led development.

IDS continues to foster collaboration with institutions with similar objectives, as well as provide opportunities for intellectual exchange.
