CAMA project to hold a stakeholders workshop on June 5, 2023, at the University of Nairobi Tower
The Institute for Development Studies in collaboration with researchers from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and University of Kassel (Germany), Makerere University (Uganda), and Mekelle University (Ethiopia), is organizing this stakeholders workshop as part of the four-year collaborative project on Collaboration for Active Mobility in Africa (CAMA): Partnerships for Sustainable Solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. The workshop will be held on June 5, 2023, at the University of Nairobi Tower from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The primary objectives of the workshop are as follows:
- To provide an overview of the CAMA project's progress to the stakeholders during the 2022/2023 period.
- To share the preliminary findings of the CAMA Survey and mapping exercise conducted in Nairobi.
- To engage stakeholders in active discussions and idea-sharing regarding potential streets for the 'Living Labs' initiative, which will serve as testbeds for solutions aimed at fostering walkable, bikeable, livable, and sustainable cities in sub-Saharan Africa
