Professor Kabiru Kinyanjui was the IDS Director (1983 to 1985) and is currently the Chancellor of Chuka University. His areas of specialisation include knowledge, education and development. He was the Chairman of the Kenya Public Universities Inspection Board between 2004 and 2007, which was instrumental in preparation policy report to guide the transformation of higher education in the country.
