The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) was privileged to host students from the American University-Washington DC on a visit to Kenya. Dr Angela Pashayan from American University- Washington DC led the discussion on Community-led Development.
The discussion was about ideas and best practices that help or hinder community-led development. The knowledge exchange discussion enabled the students to share ideas and learn more about the US and Kenyan perspectives on Community-led Development. The lively discussion saw students participating in a survey and getting their views on what hinders or helps community-led development.
IDS continues to be involved in fostering collaboration with institutions with similar objectives and providing facilities that enhance intellectual exchange and collaboration.
