Copenhagen Business School (CBS) Delegation.
The Institute for Development Studies, University of Nairobi, recently had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark as part of the ongoing collaboration under the Danida-funded Knowledge and Innovation Programme – Africa, Business and Society (KIP-ABS).
The Africa, Business and Society programme is a multi-year partnership project between CBS and three leading African universities, namely the University of Nairobi (Kenya), the University of Ghana (Ghana) and University of Johannesburg (South Africa). The programme aims to strengthen the capacity of students and lecturers in the four universities to make them stronger critical thinkers, ethical entrepreneurs and responsible leaders who can navigate a world marked by geopolitical uncertainty, technological change, climate change and rising inequalities.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the KIP-ABS programme, which supports scholarships for African students to pursue a Master of Science in Business, Language and Culture at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
The programme will give the students the skills to understand and tackle real business challenges in Africa and across the Global South. Furthermore, the students will gain hands-on insights into social development and explore how business and entrepreneurship can realistically contribute to solving global challenges.
